SSBL web banner

I am looking for entries for the SSBL banner that will go on our front page to our site.
I have no size or color requirment.
I also have no ideas for what I want on it.
Only think I require is that it have the words 'South Seas Baseball League' on it.

Thanks. I look forward to whomever submits designs.

Hmm...I just had a small flash of inspiration.

Let me see if I can put this into words.

Have you ever seen those old 'browned' maps in history books? Kind of like those in history books?
http://www.murrayhudson.com/antique_maps/MosesPitt4.jpg
http://www.oldworldauctions.com/Auction087/87-319.jpg

There are a few examples even though they arnt that good.
I think that would be cool as the background and then on top of that maybe have some 'tribal' masks that appear to be sitting on top of that.
Maybe at the left and right edges have some palm trees with some tropical birds or a tucan in them.

This is the only idea I can come up with at the moment.
If you feel like breaking away from this idea then feel free.

I hate having an idea in my head and wishing I could take a mental photo and put it here.
In my head I have the perfect map in mind. I am sure I have seen it somewhere, I just cant remember where.
More digging around online will have to be done.

Here are a few more good examples:

This one is really good
http://www.antiqueprints.com/images/aj/e3825.jpg

In both cases if they could be made more brown and 'leathery' looking.
I think paintshop and for you lucky souls photoshop, those tasks can be handled.

Very, very well done, pepeda.

Your banners are superb.

Not only are you technically superb...but your concepts are superb...you really are very creative in design, too.

That map and native artifacts really give a sense of the South Seas.

Very very nice.

I wish you people would make some ****ty art for once so it wasn't that hard to pick between them

I will wait for a few more people to put forth their efforts.
Deciding on this is going to be very very hard
I think I will have one banner on the front homepage and then another in our forums with a link to get back to the main page.
Two is better than one.
I might even make a third into my signature with a link to the website

I'm working on my submission for the SSBL banner...hope to get it done today.

Treedom, it may be your first banner...but this crowd doesn't cut any slack for Newbies like you.

Just kidding...that is an excellent banner...you can make one for me anytime.

However, I would like it much better if you had a Honolulu Lulu swinging a bat instead her hips.

F'Jager... I will get my version of an SSBL banner up very soon.

Today I've done logos for Pat's Manado team, a WWBL logo, one for the New Orleans Voodoo and I'm trying to wade thru CooleyVol and endgames' logosets that they asked me to help out with!

whew!

Juggling can be fun.

And what a good WWBL logo it was

These banners are great, it's things like this forum that make me hope the board stays alive after OOTP 7

Sorry for the tardiness, but I've been incredibly busy AND I wanted to get this looking right.

If you don't use this for your site, you can always use this as your link banner.

Hope you like it.
