Outside stadium skin
there's an all in one mlb 2004 pack at ootpdownloadcenter.com ... one of the coolest things in that pack was a skin that changed the outside of stadiums as you browsed through your league.
does anybody know where i can download this by itself....so i can install it in another league thanks. |

If I understand you correctly, you are referring to the 'background image' of OOTP showing the ballpark pictures.
Well, this is not a mod. Instead, this is an internal function of OOTP. So, you asked: how to 'activate' this funciton? It's pretty simple. First, go to 'Edit ballpark' function under 'Leauge setup'. In the 'Edit ballpark' screen, you should see 'Picture File' and 'In-Game Field Picture'. 'Picture File' is actually the file that OOTP uses as the background image and 'In-Game Field Picture' is the image shown as the field image in the PBP screen. So, what you need to do is to change 'Picture File' to whatever you want to show as the background image. Depending on how many stadiums/ballparks are there in the park.dat, OOTP will randomly rotate through them in the main league screen (the team management background image will always be the 'Picture File' of team's assigned ballpark). I hope this helps a bit. |

ok i changed the "picture" under edit ballpark to the path:
bg\anaheim.bmp "bg" is the folder name in my "graphics" which have all the pictures of outside stadiums. after i changed it, i only see the outside of the angels stadium, and when i click around it doesn't change to different stadiums... it just continues to show the default background picture. anything else i can do (if i haven't confused you) and thanks alot for the help |

Ok, you are actually half way there.
Well, you see, you only changed the "Picture File" for the anaheim stadium so all other stadiums still have the default background as "Picture File". OOTP actually rotates (randomly) through all "Picture File" for all the stadiums. Since all other stadium still has the default background image as their "Picture File", OOTP will only show anaheim stadium picture (when it randomly hit anaheim) and default background (most of the time). What you need to do is to change "Picture File" for all stadiums. So all these pictures will be used by OOTP, not just anaheim one. Hope this helps a bit further. |
