U.S.C. best college team ever?
Couldnt help but wonder after watching this game and having Corso and Herbstreet gushing over U.S.C and O.U. before the game. So i was wondering what you guys think im not so convinced that there the best college team ever as corso would like people to think in fact i dont think there the best team of the the last 4-5 years certainly there very talented but id vote Miami's 01 nat. championship team over U.S.C. what ya think 01 canes v.s. 05 trojans.

Didn't Oklahoma win like 55 straight in the 50s or 60s? USC has a long way to go to catch that juggernaut, however, this particular USC team is definitely top 10 all-time, IMO.
and the 05 trojans would also mop the floor with the 01 canes. Not as badly as they did last night, but they'd still thrash them.

Wait till next year to say this. Especially if Lienhart comes back. That was a young team we saw last night.

there's a TON of QBs coming out this year. The QB crop will be highly saturated.

Plus, Leinart would most likely get to stay in Cali with the Niners if he goes out now.
Are they the best team ever? Come on, cinredsfan.............you gotta be kidding, right? |

One of the reasons would be to win a 3rd National Title. Be the second person to win more than one Heisman. Be considered one of the greatest college QB's of all time. Other reasons include, Pete Carroll and Carson Palmer have been getting to him and telling him to stay. It probably is a lock that he is leaving, but not because there isn't anything to accomplish in College. Maybe get his diploma?

Even if it is saturated, he will rise to the first pick. Why not come out? I'd be surprised if he doesn't.

That might actually make him more focused. I wouldn't doubt that he could lead USC to another title if he comes back. As for USC being the best team ever. It's hard to compare them to teams of the 50's, 60's, 70's, etc. because those teams played when there were fewer teams that could dominate the field. USC is playing against tougher opponents. There's more parity in College Football now then there was 10 years ago. Considering that, I'd have to put them somewhere near the top. They have two straight national championships and if they could get a third, it'd be hard to compare them to most teams in college football history. |

NFL Players from 1995 Huskers Ahman Green, RB Grant Wistrom, DE Mike Minter, SS Mike Rucker, DE Tyrone Williams, CB Lawrence Phillips, RB Kris Brown, PK Michael Booker, CB Eric Warfield, CB Adam Treu, C Jason Peter, DT Christian Peter, DT Jason Wiltz, DT Tony Veland, FS Scott Frost, SS Jared Tomich, DE Jamel Williams, LB Jeff Mackovicka, FB Joel Mackovicka, FB Jay Foreman, LB Aaron Taylor, OG Sheldon Jackson, TE Aaron Graham, OT Bill LaFluer, P Chris Dishman, OG Brook Berringer (QB) was projected in the second or third round but was tragically killed in a plane crash three days before the draft. Terrell Farley (LB) was an absolute freak, but he was also a total dumbass who got in trouble with the law and ruined his NFL potential. Tommie Frazier (QB) may have been the best option quarterback in the history of college football. Last edited by Dwolfson20; 01-06-2005 at 04:57 PM. |
