Houston Astros offseason thread.

Even the Nationals/Expos got a thread, so I decided to make this.

My predictions for the offseason:

Beltran signs for 7/100
Clemens sticks around
Wade Miller is traded for bullpen help

if miller is traded he wont be traded until after spring training. No team will take him if hes still hurt. I dont see Clemens coming back with his mom's health and the whole 5 yr thing. I do see Beltran coming back. He will make his announcment before Clemens decides of course

I think if Beltran stays, Clemens will come back. I don't really care, but I don't want Beltran to be a Yankee. So I guess I want him to be a 'Stro.

I hope Beltran stays in Houston also. I surely dont want to see the Yanks get even better by signing Beltran.

Rumor is that Beltran doesn't want to go to NY. Supposedly prefers a smaller stage than NY. So now Houston really just has to offer him a good deal. Things could get interesting very quickly if Sosa gets traded. Then it may be a bidding war between the Astros and Cubs.

Looks like the Yanks have dropped out of the race, so now it's basically just the Astros, and if you think they're serious, the Mets.

I'm pumped. Beltran will sign before 1/2/05.

No one is going to. Boras is just throwing out figures, like the 10/200 he threw out at the beginning.

the yanks went about 15 or 16 a year..which is around 119 million....Astros went how high? Around 12 million a year which would bring the grand total around 70 million which wount cut it.

The Yankees haven't even made an offer.
