Is there a Find a Player function using an average scout? Or perhaps a Find a Player function where you can choose which scout to search with.
The problem with the current "Find a Player" search function is that it finds players based on the scout of each player's team. That means that you'll be literally viewing the player you searched for in the view of his team's scout, not yours. I consider this cheating since I'm using all my opponent's scouts. I would like a search for player function that allows me to search for player based on my own scout's opinion (or an average scout). Whenever I use the criteria to search for a player (ie. home run ability at least 7), its all based on each team's scout, so even if my scout thought that Nomar Garciaparra had under 7 home run rating, but Boston's scout thought he was a 7, he would show up on the search because the Find A Player option works based on each player's team scout. This has been a flaw since OOTP3, and its prevented me from ever searching for players. |

A nice feature would be player searches by stats from the current or previous season.

There is still one report that gives away a team's scout opinion. And that is in the "News Section" under "Possible Free Agents". The Ratings shown are based on the player's team scout opinion. This I consider cheating, since you shouldn't have access to another team's scout opinion. So how do online leagues printout possible free agents without giving away each team's scout's opinion?
I would like to see the possible free agents without having access to their scout's opinion. [ March 05, 2002: Message edited by: OOTP Rocks ]</p> |
