College Football sims?

Are there any good college football sims available? I love OOTP baseball, but would be interested in expanding to other sports. Suggestions for college football??

Don't take this wrong but that's not saying much......IMO TCY is a "recruit-a-thon" so if you like that side of things then you'll love it. TCY isn't much at all like FOF(an awesome game IMO). Both are produced by http://www.solecismic.com

Here is another choice although it has no career or recruiting. It's an excellent game of strategy/ x's and o's. Many great college teams of the past if your into what-ifs and replays.

TCY is fine as long as you use TCY Helper.

Personally, I find this game to be a rip off. It has an abundance of potential with the connect to IP head to head games, but the fact that you have to pay 50 dollars (I think) for every single seasonal disk is a rip off. I wouldn't recommend anything from dksports if you are looking for a career sim, as it is mainly just used to replay seasons.

No Rip-Off

Stan the Man:

The PC Action games are NO rip-off's as you suggest. The game costs $49.95 for the 1st time buyer full version and the upgrades are around $29.95 each year with player disk. The old season disks are regularly prices at $19.95 and additions ones are something like $12.95 when you buy a couple. And Dave runs special deals all the time and has a pre-season special on his excellent MLB game for only $19.95 which is a steal for the complete baseball game and 2004 player disk.

PCA is NOT a career sim it is a "replay" sim, different animals! But the prices are fair, the quality top-notch and the customer service the best in the biz IMHO.

Thanks, DMN

Here is a quote from the guy who made it (Fido):

A utility I created to assist in the more mundane tasks involved in managing a team in Solecismic Software's Front Office Football - The College Years, one of the best football simulations in existence. It is designed as addition to TCY, not a replacement or a cheat. I will not add anything to the program that intentionally gets around any of the limitations that Solecismic's developers (aka Jim Grindin) have included in their software.

So, just what is TCY Helper? Well, its a first of its kind utility that is capable of extracting data directly from TCY save game files. It organizes that data and is focused primarily on presenting it in useful, otherwise unavailable ways. This is where I have a big advantage over Jim. You see, he has to worry about creating a solid simulation engine, a solid recruiting engine, a robust player generation system and a easy to use user interface. I only have to worry about the UI.

Sounds alot like why I quit playing diamond mind. It'd be real easy to have to drop a couple hundred bucks.
