CDL Joins the 21st Century, Looking for Mets Owner
The CDL has just finished it's 31st season, with the Chicago White Sox winning their first World Series 4 games to 2 over the dominant Los Angeles Dodgers. With 1999 complete, the CDL moves on to 2000 after starting as an OOTP 3 league in the Summer of 2001, but is now an OOTP 6 league with four more teams and a lot more history.
The CDL also has a rare opening, as the New York Mets GM has just stepped down after 30 seasons in the league. The Mets are a team that has been stuck in the middle tier for a while and either needs a big push towards glory or a full scale rebuilding, the ideal project for almost any GM. For those of you who may not be familiar with the CDL, here are some notes about the league itself. The league is one of the longest running leagues around with over three and a half years of real life time and 31 seasons complete. The CDL also features one of, if not the best set of GMs around with a fine mix of people you may know from many leagues and people you may have never met before, but above all, all of the GMs in the league are top-notch competitors and good people. There are plenty of other reasons that you would want to join the CDL. The CDL also features heavily edited rookies that are not only historically accurate, but scaled to match the players currently in the CDL. We have a fairly simple rule set that guarantees a high level of parity without trying to figure out who belongs on waivers and who gets arbitration. CDL also features two commissioners with years of experience and dedication. The CDL is also famous for it's shortened season schedule that allows owners to both see a history play out before their eyes and allow for everyone to remain involved as rebuilding doesn't take real life years to complete. I'm sure there are plenty of other things that I could say about the CDL to convince you to check us out. But if you are looking for a highly competative league filled with great people and dependable commissioners, you need not look any further than the CDL. Thank you very much for your time. |

We're still taking applications through the end of Friday. With round 1 of free agency scheduled to go until tomorrow night, this is truly the perfect time to start getting the Mets ready for the 2000 season.
Also, I want to assure anybody the CDL is as solid today as it was 31 seasons ago. Like Brian mentioned we have a very impressive ownership group and dedicated commishes. I know that this may be difficult to believe, but in over 3 and a half years and 31 seasons, we have yet to miss a sim or scheduled deadline. So hurry on over and get us your application. We will continue to collect everyones and then notify all applicants of our decision. Thanks to everyone for their interest. |

Matt and Brian both do excellent jobs as far as running the league goes. Also fun guys to talk to when they're not making fun of your team for sucking. I recommend the league to anyone who's looking for another league or even their first online league.
