Quick Question, Perhaps it needs to be Added...

Is there a way to see the payroll already under contact for next season?

In case that is not clear, if my payroll is 80M this year and I have five guys under contract next season for 5M per, it would should my payroll as 25M for next season. Is this somewhere in the game, but I just can't find it?

If not, I'd like to see it added.

PS I know I could just add it. It should include esitmated arbitration.

I wish we could see this. It would be nice, since it's used to calculate how much money you have to sign players for the next season.

Ok, Ctorg you know a ton about this game, so I guess if you don't know it is not there.

Shoot, I'm disappointed. I'd like to see this so I could no quickly how much I have to spend (b/c I could see my payroll number).

Just because I've played the game a lot doesn't mean I know it all. There might be someplace I've never bothered to look.

I was more under the impression he was looking for what his total payroll for the next year was, but if all he wants to know is how much he has left, then yes, this is it.

From what I understand, you can figure it out with some simple math but at the same time it would be really nice to have some projection charts/figures.

Ctorg,

All I meant I took your repsonse as from someone who knew the game. I hope you don't think I meant an insult any in way. I just respect your opinion. But you were right, I was looking for next year's payroll (so far), and those numbers don't really help me in what I'm looking for.

What I was thinking of was I saw an article somewhere about how much money the Yankees have already spent on payrolls over the next couple of years. It also talked about how much the Dbacks will have to spend on players who are retired (deferred money), so it got me interested in looking around my league at this information. But sadly, I'd have to add it up myself, and I play a game so it does things like that for me Oh well, maybe Markus can add it as it does not seem that complicated nor does it seem time consuming, but what the heck do I know?

Oh, no insult taken at all. I was just letting you know that me saying I haven't seen something doesn't mean it's not there. There are whole areas of this game I don't use (like online league play).

You can calculate this stuff, but it's a bit of a pain.

Woo hoo!!!! Partay!

I've created a spreadsheet which I use to calculate my team's payroll each season for the next 5 seasons. I simply copy and paste the salary info from the HTML salary report, and then the spreadsheet does the rest. It IS a pain to do, since there's a bit of logic that needs to go into it. You also have to updated it during the season if you assume the arbitration awards are going to be the estimated, and those change over time. It's really nice, though, to be able to plan for future FA budgets and to have an idea of what salary you can take on in a midseason deal with the future in mind.

It is such a pain though...I guess I'll just add up the large salaries on my team and eye ball. Ugh... I wish the game would do it for me.

BTW THANKS FOR THE PARTY!!!
