GFBL looking for more players...

The GFBL is once again looking for more players for the up-and-coming expansion team. We are near the end of our third season. Shub will be the manager of this team. This is a league where you create a player and allocate spring training points, tuner personal strategies and negotiate your own contracts from time to time. It's not a high maintainance league and woudl be perfect for those who are just interested to see how their players would do in a highly competitve league set up. We have a live sim every season for the best of 5 GFBL Finals, and it has been proven to be very enjoyable to a lot of our members.

All the GM's are very active and competitive so it will be fun to deal with them.

INVADERS - I IWearRedSox had a historical performance against Invaders on Wednesday, pitching a no-hitter for his 3rd shutout of the season. IWearRedSox (10-10) fanned 8 and walked 3, throwing 108 pitches. 'Giving my team a chance to win is the most important thing for me. I was able to do it today, and it's especially nice to do it in such fashion.' The hitting star for Juveniles was second baseman J JerseyPride, he collected 2 hits in 3 trips to the plate, homering once, and driving in 2 runs. Juveniles scored 3 runs on 6 hits.

Socko will now be remembered as the first and only pitcher to pitch a no-hitter in GFBL history. Congratulations IWearRedSox.

Important Notice today:

I have decided (suggested by metskid) that starting this year during the live GFBL Finals, the players' decision will override the GM's at any time unless the player is also the GM of the oppositon. I know this sounds confusing, so here is an example:

During the live sim, "TimJohnson" makes a call to walk "Batboy", but metskid, GM of the storm, says to pitch normal to him, I would punch in walk since TimJohnson is the one pitching. This way, we would find some player disobeying their GM and creating tension, which we all seem to like so much.

And also this encourages players to show up at the game and actually gives them more control over their own players.

However if "metskid" (SS for the Felons) bunts, but Neal (GM of the Felons) says hit, and the game is Storm vs the Felons, none of metskid's decisions will be taken.

Here are the batter's decisions during live sim:

Swing
Bunt for Hit
Sacrafice Bunt
Steal

Here are commands for the pitchers:

Pitch
Intentinal Walk
Pitch Around
Pitch out
Hold Runner

GM's stll control the fielding alignments, and also hit & run. Feel free to discuss and comment on this.
