NAHHBL has FOUR teams opening in 1997 season (started in 1980)
The NAHHBL started in 1980. Following the 1980 season, we switched to a three division per league structure. Expansion in 1986 took us to a 30 team league and for 1997 we expanded by two more teams and set up as a 4 division per league structure. That means to make the playoffs, you only have to be the best in your four team division. Sounds easy, right? WRONG! One of the most competitive leagues out there and there are FOUR openings.
Oakland A's - The team of the 80's and early 90's still has alot of talent as well as the most rings in league history. With a few moves, this team will be set to dominate once again. Cincinnati Reds - Just one game out of first place, the team has a solid lineup plus a good minor league system. New York Mets - 3 games out of first, but they have a strong young pitching staff plus Sammy Sosa. Toronto Blue Jays - A second place team but trailing the powerhouse New York Yankees. Good hitters in the minors, this team can emerge as a AL East powerhouse very soon. If you're interested check out the league at http://nahhbl.ootp-online.com/ and post in the Application Forum Thanks |
