Rolen unzip problem

I am new to this game and I have downloaded the new rolen roster and stadium pics when I try to unzip them, the computer tells me that it's either not an archive file or that it's part of a multi-disk program and requires the 1st disk. I have sucsessfully downloaded and installed logos so my unzip program seems to be working. anyone with any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

1st off: welcome dennismorrow

... okay, your unzip issue:
The Rolen roster is only 1 file so it's probably not that. If there is a problem with the rolen roster zip file I'd suggest it might be an incomplete/corrupted zipfile. In that case just delete the one you have and download it again and that should fix the problem.

About the disk spanning and other error messages: Maybe there is something up with the stadium set you downloaded - which stadium set is it? Maybe it was supposed to come in several sections (that is sometimes done to reduce download size for dial up folks). I would also go back to the site you got the stadium file from and re-read any related info there. Let us know if that does not solve the problem.

as for the stadiums, I downloaded MLBparks.zip. Still haven't figured it out. As for the rosrter, I downloaded rolen at Bigcitybaseball several times wit the same result. Where else can I go? or are their other rosters somewhere I could try. I'm dying to get ths thing up and running but it's very frustrating!!!

I saw your message and downloaded the file myself to check. It seems ok, but then I have a high speed connection... Let me know if you have better luck at OOTPworld. If you do, I'll look into it further...

ps: anyone else not able to download it ??

The files at these locations should all be fine, so I would suspect you are getting incomplete downloads.

My tips: If you are an AOL user close the AOL browser and use the IE browser to download these files. We have had many complaints of repeated incomplete game downloads that were all attributed to limitations/problems within the AOL browser. I would also suggest clearing your internet cache (on IE that is TOOLS --> INTERNET OPTIONS --> GENERAL tab --> then the 'delete temporary internet files' option) and deleting the incomplete roster and stadium downloads you currently have on your hard drive.

After all that I would try the download again and I think it will work. Please let us know if this works for you.

BTW, is WinZIP your unzip program? It probably is, but if it is not and the above info was not helpful then I would look at your unzip program's settings next.

I finally got it to work!! I downloaded it from another site and it worked, I'm still having problems with stadiums but I'll keep looking around. Thanks for the suggestions guys, I appreciate the help. Go Tribe in 2002!!!!
