Ok, so I'm crazy. My wife reminds me of that all the time
Having created / modified so many ballparks for OOTP, I guess I've gotten to the point where I wanted more than just a ballpark picture - much the same as CCM01 stated about a month back. I liked his soon-to-come layout, and even created a few for my Pacific Coast League based on his template - but it still seemed to miss something for me. In addition, as I moved to creating backdrops for older ballparks in my Ultimate Ballpark Collection, there simply are not any pictures available from "behind the plate" for many (most) of those parks. The basic problem is "do you want your players on the field" or "is there some other way to represent the game that is also interesting?". I've played around a lot trying probably 10 or 15 different layouts, and finally figured out one that has me (at least) excited. Take a look at the mockup below and let me know what you think ps: For you fictional players out there, this might be a better option than having to create ballparks from the ground up.

YankeePride,
My thought was to use the same backdrop for all the parks - changing the upper left graphic to the park itself. For more modern parks, the backdrop could be updated to a more modern image. Here's an in game shot using Braves field, and the transparent player boxes...

i got you now henry. I think its a great idea. I perfer seeing the stadium image BUT as you posted in the beginning, this could work well for fictional teams. and i like that idea for a fictional league.

Like anything, it will have it's supporters and opponents - it is kinda "abstract" but it's a nice change too
