Lady Boxers

Does anyone here sim many fights involving lady boxers? I use that term loosely, as some of those magillas don't much look like women. I question the presence of women in the sport and in this sim. I mean, seriously, how many female boxers can you name beside Laila Ali and Christy Martin? How many pros are there? How many of them can actually fight? And I don't mean head down, arms flailing either.

Kangaroos can box too. Should they be included?

When I started with TBCB, one of the first things I did was eliminate the females from my database. As a sim promoter, I don't want anything to do with this particular aspect of the sport.

After watching Anne Wolfe destroy Vonda Ward, I'd have to include her with Christy and Laila as good female boxers. Mia St.John is easy on the eyes and seemed to have some promise, but nowadays she appears more concerned about putting her body on display (Playboy spread) than actually fighting anymore.

There are a couple of others (like Rylik and Rijker) who have some skill and punching power, but that's about it. There just isn't enough female boxers out there who possess any kind of talent, most are of the tomato can variety.

I like the fact that they are included in the game, if anything to give a complete look at the current boxing universe, but I agree that there just isn't enough talent to make simming a women's division of any weight class worth while.

I like Mia St. John - maybe not a top flight fighter. Daisy Lang's from Germany I think. Also the cute little blond from Germany, Regina Hamlich? Never seen her fight but she's hot! I also think Tonya Harding is in this game, she's not much of a fighter though.

Regina Halmich.

Another Playboy model. But a very decent fighter as well. She has been the WIBF Flyweight Champion since 1995, and a fighting champ at that (defending her title(s) at least two or three times a year). She didn't have a lot of quality opposition early on in her reign (for reasons mentioned in my first post), but that has been changing lately as she has recently been fighting progressively better challengers.

Actually Cap, I have kept all my women fighters. I am waiting for the addition that Andreas is working on that turns this game into a virtual realtity game. Dibs on the first fight with Mia Ham or Regina Halmichn in a tub of orange jello!
