Text writes over itself

Hi all: Just purchased OOTP6 online. My problem is that the play-by-play text writes over itself while I'm playing out games (where did the play-by-play box with the little radio go?), and the "Mail" messages overlap each other as I scroll through. I'm pretty sure there must be a quick fix for this, but I'm not able to find it.

Do you have a really small monitor? (just brianstorming)

I think you gotta run the Game Configuration utility in the OOTP6 folder and toggle your Direct3D mode (whatever it is now, make it the opposite).

Screen resolution is 1024 x 768. It worked OK with OOTP5.

Thanks guys. 3D fixed it. Appreciate the quick help ... now I can get back to procrastinating from real work!
