Cato problem?
Catobase 6.1.4 - I seem to have a small problem where some of my players are listed as being inactive/retired when they are still playing in the league. Their player page updates regularly, but on league leader screens their name isn't in bold and their playing date ends well before the current year (such as 1984-1986 when they're still playing through the 1988 season).
Any idea why this happens or how to fix it? |

It's not a bug... it's a feature!
(I think...)1) If the player is active but has no major league stats for the most recent year, they're listed as inactive with their "end year" being the last year with big-league stats. 2) I seem to remember that, in the Black Ink / Grey Ink leaderboards, if a player hadn't led any category in the current year, something similiar happened... but poking around my Catobase web, I can't find any examples, so these may be the same as #1 and I just dreamed up this alternate explanation.

Well, these guys have played in the majors.
Something I thought of that I didn't when I originally posted. When I import stats at some point I get a "bad file name or number" error, but the import continues seemingly without a problem. I'll look through this more later to see if I can find any connection between the "retired" players. |
