Big Problem with our file
To the OOTP Team,
I'm having a huge problem with my file. It says the current day is 4/10, but I've simmed up to 4/17 and after each day it crashes the game. I'm not sure what other info you need, perhaps you could just email me at william4192@yahoo.com The file can be found at http://teamrebels.com/Leagueplay/thefile.zip (Let me know if that link does not work). Sounds like you may have had 2 copies of the game open at one time during this sim.

Not that I know of. Is there a way to fix it? Is it going to cause a lot of problems?

are you guys using cbl roster or halofan roster and did a fantasy draft wiith less than 32 teams?
if so it wont work and will crash every time when you sim.... the workaround that seems to work is after you guys do the fantasy draft..is to delete all the free agents that left....then it will work and sim fine.... |

I'm using a file that was edited by me (from the game created)..we are a few seasons into the file...no fantasy draft, yes less than 32 teams.
No fantasy draft. I really need some help. Our whole league is on hold. Thanks in advance!

I agree with Steve. It sounds like 2 copies of the league file were open at the same time at some point and the results of one got saved on top of the other one. At this point, the only thing you can do is restore the league from a backup point before this took place.

I know one thing I had to do, after the season started I noticed that there were teams playing two games on the same day, so I generated a new schedule. Would this have caused the problem?

If you aren't too far into the season, you could Reset the season to get things back to Opening Day. However, this will have some side-effects to it and I'm not sure exactly what all of them are.

You'll need to re-enter contract extensions and promotions will be reset. Have you checked to see of any league members still have the file from the previous sim?
