Maybe CHallening Conceptual Request
I need a certain type of logo. Its the year 2013, and the Cincinnati Reds are doing horribly and getting no fans. Its time for them to move. So, I would love a logo for the new team. I'd like it to keep aspects of the old team, since I'm keeping their nickname as the Reds. I'd like a logo that incorporate their current logo (below) but has a flavor of the city I'm moving it to. So, if this makes sense, I want a classic logo with a little flavor. I realize this may be a a little paradoxical, but I have full confidence in all your abilites. My list of cities/states I'm considering:
Louisiana New Orleans Houston Arizona South/North Carolina (just put Carolina) If you think a certain city that's not one of these or the original 16 (that are realistic, so no Sojo or Walla Walla or anything) will make a better logo, go for it. Thanks alot in advance. |

Not promising anything here, as I have quite a few requests already, but if I get the chance, I might try to come up with something for you.

Hey DY, I made you a logo way back on July 30, and forgot to post it!
I stumbled across it as I was uploading some other graphics to my server. It's pretty bad, but as most of you know, I'm always open to suggestions (Eugene, I could really use your help on this one ). I tried to give it a classic feel to it, but as you requested, something that still has a little "flavor" as well. Not my best work, but anyhow, let me know if you have any suggestions.http://www.maxvisualstudios.com/~dba...leans_reds.jpg |

dbacks, since you asked....
First of all...your "not my best work" is at it's worst IMHO "very good". The logo is very fine as is...however as you very well know...I always have a few suggestions. The jazz musician really creates a nice mood and the bats and diamond give it a good oldtime feel...I lived in New Orleans for over 20 years and even attended New Orleans Pelicans games at historic old Pelican Stadium in the early 50's...and saw a many Pels and Mobile Bear games at Hartwell Field in Mobile in the mid to late 50's when I was a ballboy usually in the home team bullpen and occasionally as the visiting team batboy. Make the REDS red instead of white...it just seems to me that if the team's name is Reds, the lettering should be primarily red. Make the homeplate white and outlined in black, so you can keep the white background. Last edited by Eugene Church; 08-16-2004 at 04:28 PM. |

i'll toss my suggestions out there as well
i like what EC has suggested and would take it a step further. I would remove the bats from the background, center the sax player on the plate and make it red as well. Thats what i see in my head anyways, i'm not sure how it will look once done.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. When I get a little more free time, I will whip up two more versions, one with EC's suggestions, and one with yours.

disposableheros...good suggestions...it probably will look better without the bats...but the bats do give it an oldtimey flavor...the jazzman gives it a modern feel...and DamnYankees requested both.
Maybe he should say what he likes. It's his logo request. I never can picture changes in my mind...sometimes they don't look as good with the changes as I thought they would. I always feel bad when I ask for a revision and don't care for it. |

Here are three new versions. DY, let me know which one you like best, and I can resize it to 150 x 150 for you to use in game.

Great job, dbacks....#1 is the one I would pick.
The other two are fine, too. I just like my suggestions better than disposableheros.

Hey, I'm glad you both made suggestions, though. The more, the better. I'm not sure which I like better. Probably #1 too, but it's hard for me to decide (not that it matters, since it's not my decision, anyway).
