Is This Possible?

Nutshell:

I am trying to create a league of all time great players greatest seasons.

I wan't a two league, one division setup -- 16 teams total. . . Old school, no playoffs just a World Series at the end of the season.

I want a 50 round draft to fill the rosters and have meticulously (thanks Baseball Encyclopedia, mlb.com, and baseball-reference.com) found 480 offensive players and will soon have 320 pitchers from different eras.

I have the Lahman database ID's of the players I have found so far in a MS Word file, their best season beside it to fill the FA pool.

I've been tinkering around, trying to fill the FA pool with the Lahman DB (IDs and year) players I have selected.

Problem:

When trying to create a 'New Standard League' I can dump all the default players from the FA pool and plug the selected players into the FA pool and (I think) draft from there -- but it seems not to accept my 16 team setup and reverts back to the current teams.

When trying to create a 'New Custom League' I can't seem to clear the FA pool of the default players.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

I hope this is clear enough for someone to be able to lend a hand.

Is there a way to do what I am trying to do? I know that there has to be a way, but I have been stuck for hours on the two different occasions which I have tried to test it.

I realize this is a newbie question. If someone could point me to a thread or give me instructions I would really appreciate it.

Cheers!

There should be the option to create a league with NO players.

Yes, create a custom league and under the league options set Players to NONE.

Starting a standard league creates a 30-team team with the same setup as MLB.

Thanks for the quick replies.

I am still having problems.

When I create the custom league with 'none' selected (before I hit the 'generate league' button) and go to the FA pool the league reverts back to the 30 original teams.

If I hit the 'generate league' button it saves my 16 team setup, but does not allow me to import freee agents. . . it leaves the pool empty.

Do I need to Import a .cvs file? If so, how would I create one?

Thanks for the help. I am off to bed but will check the board when I wake up.
