OOTP crashes at end of day
I'm trying to a sim for my online league, FLB, and when I finish a day, OOTP just freezes. I've left it on for awhile, but nothing happens to it, and in the Task Manager, it says "Not Responding." I tried "Sim one day" and it worked for two days but froze on the third try. Never got even one day again, and I tried about five times. I'm leaving it on overnight on "sim until selected day" to see if anytnig happens.

I'me having the same problem. April 1st and 2nd sim fine, but the game crashes on April 3rd (no games are scheduled to be played until April 5th). I changed the start date to April 5th. All games simmed, but OOTP6 crashed when finishing day. I went back to OOTP5 and was able to sim without a crash. Essentially the same league file for both OOTP5 & OOTP6. DOes it work if you create a new league ? If so, it's a league corruption or league data issue. If not, you'll need to reinstall OOTP.

Other leagues work... does that mean I have to trash this file (go back to the last sim)? Is there any way to prevent this in the future? I know I should be making backups, but its not like I did anything out of the ordinary.

Henry, I tried importing the file from OOTP5 seven times and each time the game crashes on April 3rd when trying to finish the day. I am able to get to the first day of games and manually sim each game. The crash happens after all games have been played and OOTP tries to finish the day.
I don't have any other league file to fall back on since this is an imported online league from OOTP5. My only alternative is to dismantle the league (and I just had two new guys join this week) or continue it in OOTP5 (and lose a couple guys). Not sure why the league file sims just fine in OOTP5, but crashes when imported into OOTP6. I've check all lineups/depth charts numerous times. Basically, I've put over 6 hours into trying to get my online league file to work in OOTP6. I'd be happy to send the league to be looked at.

Statfreak, I just had a thought. Do we sim minor leagues? If so, try turning that off in league setup. I have two different leagues where in the second season I had to disable minor leagues or the game would crash.

Nope, still crashed with sim minors disabled. I have all financial options disabled as well. 'bout ready to give up and of course I forgot to backup my OOTP5 league file and simmed a game to make sure the file worked in v5 before importing to v6.

Slant - you should probably go ahead and revert. I've spent about 8 hours pouring over my file and testing different things. Nothing has worked. A member of my league and Henry from this board have also looked over the file to no avail. One thing you might want to do is do a csv export of the general information. You should see some lines that don't make sense... ie. a line with data, but no player number/name. Not sure what it means, but that's what I say when I did a csv dump. I did not try to delete those and then import back into the game, but I'm assuming doing so will crash the game. Sorry couldn't be of help. Henry did suggest sending my league file to Markus for review. You may want to do the same.
