BOSI v2.001 released

http://www.bosicentral.com . If you haven't installed yet, just download the main file. The patch is for those who have already installed and need to upgrade.

v2.001
-- Changed the table types from Inno DB to MyISAM. One server had a MAJOR issue with Inno, so we didn't want to take the chance of the same thing happening to others. You'll need to run the upgrade_2001.sql script in PhPMyAdmin(or other MySQL tool) to make these changes. No data will be lost.

-- Changed the schedule importer. Since the table types changed, child tables aren't cleaned up after a record from the master table is deleted. Code was added to delete from bosi_SCHEDULE_INNINGS first, then bosi_SCHEDULE_GAME, then bosi_SCHEDULE.

-- Added the draft order report to the Reports menu

-- Added a home link on the main menu to get you to the index page

-- Changed the HOME link in the admin menu to go to the index page (news).

-- Added some code to the career importer resetting the default PhP execution time limit. Some customers were having issues with it timing out.

Good to hear, Joe. One quick question...has the MVP/Cy Young thing been fixed? I'd love to edit it in the CSVs myself, but I'd have to do it everytime it generated new CSVs I think. Again, good job fixing the database issues.

BAH! I was in such a hurry to get the DB table types changed that I forgot this issue. I'll get it into v2.002.

No prob, it's just for vain types like me who like to see all the awards after their studs...

The info is being stored, just not reported. Markus stores both batter and pitcher of the year awards in the same field. I wasn't expecting that

Is the database upgrade script released yet?

From v1 to v2? No. I had to re-structure the DB from Inno to MySQL so that is what this release centered around. I hate giving up Inno, but it's just not stable enough

I will be working on the upgrade script this weekend and hope to have it released by late next week.

I may have missed something, but how do you updated to version 2 if you are using the central server. Currently ISBL is using version 1, but we have since switched to OOTP6.

Thanks for all your great work on this Joe, looks like it's going to be fantastic and every bit a "must-have" as BOSI v1 was for OOTP5.

Joe,

Was the BOSI CSV exporter ever fixed for v2?
I wrote a development script and noticed that the vsL and vsR for some fields were identical and wrong for some ratings (contact being one)

Download the one on BOSI Central. If it didn't fix the issue, let me know.
