Having trouble reading

I looked through the past threads and faq's, but couldn't find this. I have installed ootp 6 and itp on one of my other computers, but I've tried to install it on my mom's and I can't read anything. The pull down menus overlap the standings and the play by play wraps over itself, so I can't read it. What do I need to do????? Thanks.

The pull down menus are supposed to overlap the current screen, and the play-by-play will wordwrap when it's too long to fit in the box. If you meant something other than what I've understood here, please try again.

It's like the pull down menus have no background, so the words are mixed with the standings. In play by play, when it's supposed to scroll down or clear for a new batter, the words stay there and the new words write over the existing ones. Hope I'm explaining it write, I think it's some kind of display setting problem, but I've tried everything I can think of and it hasn't fixed it.

Go to the ootp6 folder, double click on "Game Configuration.exe", then toggle off direct 3d. That computer probably does not have a 3D video card.
