CatoBase Question
I have an alternate historical league with real players but different teams in a new circuit starting in 1931. I am looking to expand in 1940 but I have a question. I want to make a franchise move like the Senators in 1961. I currently have 2 leagues, Atlantic and Continental. Pittsburgh is in the Continental and I am planning on moving the franchise to Kansas City and then installing a new franchise in Pittsburgh, but in the Atlantic League. Will this cause problems with CatoBase when I go to import that season?

I think you'll have to be careful with your team abbreviations, but I'm not quite sure exactly how to make it work.

Check the CatoBaseReadme.html file. There is a (I think) pretty good explanation of how to do contraction, expansion, and relocation. It's alot of words, but it's a pretty easy process.
As gordyhulten said, you must be sure not to repeat an abbreviation. If the original Pittsburgh team used PIT, then the new team must use something different. |
