Weird export problem

In our on line league, some teams get a message "Could not export team! Couldn't find EXPIMP folder!" This makes no sense, since the EXPIMP folder is right there, and it works for most teams.

It appears that imports do not work for those teams either.

Any ideas?

Though you may have an EXPIMP folder on your end, are you sure that they have one on their PC? Many leagues will put out partial league files that only include changed files and there's a good chance that these aren't included. So if someone was starting from scratch and downloaded the partial file, they wouldn't have the full folder structure of the league in place.

Unfortunately, I can recreate the problem on my own computer. I can see ExpImp and it works for some teams but not for others -- that is, with me going into the teams.

My next question was going to be, are you sure all teams are using the latest patch? But it seems that if you can do it on your end, that must not be the problem either.

Is there already an export in the folder for the team in question that is for some reason set as read-only?

When I went to delete the contents of the ExpImp folder, it complained about read only files, and when I deleted anyway, suddenly all problems disappeared.

(How the heck could that happen???)
