"Program Not Responding" when I try to sim a game

I am about 90 games into a season and have had no problems. I have simmed every game so far no problem. However I am at a point where whenever I try to sim my next game, sim the next week, or even try to play the game OOTP stops repsonding. I will press the 'Sim' button and nothing will change on the screen, it just freeezes. The menus no longer drop down, buttons no longer light up... When I try to play the game it either freezes at the "Calculating League Leaders" popup or when I get to the Pregame Show and try to start the game I get an error message. I've tried changing the starter, changing the fielders and the batting order. I tried simming all the other games of the day and they went fine. I didn't see a thread about this exact problem, sorry if it is covered somewhere already.

First of all DON'T trust the "windows - program not responding" message.

Secondly:

More than likely one of the following is the problem:

-The same position is listed twice in the lineup.
-The same player is listed twice in the lineup.
-One position is missing.
-An "injured" pitcher is scheduled to start a game.

Give me some info on your system...............

Did you check the items I listed in the above post for each team?

I was having a similar problem until I discovered one team had the same player listed twice on the lineups page. Run CPU manager on all teams and see if things work out.
