Thumbs up Interesting college league

Hey everybody. Just wanted to extend an offer to you guys. Another league im an owner in is starting a spinoff league. I'll be the commish. This is basically what the league is:
Its a college league, yes you read that right, a college league. There will be 40 teams, 8 divisions of 5 teams (tentatively). but definately 40 teams.
At the begining of every year you will "bid" on incoming freshman with recruiting points. kind of a take on an old NCAA football game some of you might have played. Bid points will be given out based on things such as sending in rosters, team reports to the league, players being drafted from your team in the amature draft etc. The AAA will be used as a JV team, AA as a freshman team and A ball will be the players you want to redshirt. Red shirt will work just like regular NCAA sports (or my understanding there of). This league is going to be a lot of fun with a lot of owners but its going to fill up fast, we allready have a few owners and this is the first announcement of the league so if anyone is interested email me at Matt25Wings@aol.com or BrokenSynapses@aol.com or get on AIM on BrokenSynapses. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Thanks for your time!

Matt

Forgot something... There will be a tourny involving all teams at the end of the year kind of like the college world series, big big recruiting points there. Theres a very early version of a league constitution. if you'd like to see it let me know, ill get it to ya. it tell duties etc.

Thought I would throw in my two cents, as I'm the commissioner of the main league the college league will be affilliated with. (NIBA: http://www.nibabaseball.com)

There is no website for the college league (although you can see the main league through the link above) but I've contacted one of my web designers about putting something together (which his work is usually impressive..)

The file is also being built. The league will be comprised of eight divisions (two leagues), each division representing one of the major conferences (PAC-10, ACC, SEC, Big East, Big 12, Big 10, and two Independent conferences, which will have teams from smaller conferences ie. Rice, Cal St. Fullerton, Oral Roberts, etc.)...the initial file WILL be built on four different freshman, sophomore, junior, senior classes as I'm building the file from 2001 to give the league a touch of history (and figure out all the small things that might pop up).

There will be a 70 game season, which will be run in conjunction with the NIBA Major League schedule. At the end of each year, seniors will graduate and be sent to the NIBA to be drafted. I still have yet to figure out what we'll do about underclassmen, although for now, they will probably remain not able to leave. This could change.

If you have any other questions, or comments, feel free to throw 'em in the ring here. Thanks!
