I think I blew a lung screaming. So far he looks like he fits in perfectly with the A's bullpen.

Yeah, he looked pretty awful. Still a great pitcher though and the A's won the game so you can't complain too much.

The irony is they trade a SP because he'd never get a chance to break the rotation. Then after the trade, they place Hudson on the DL, and Harden's probably going to be placed on the DL too.

Even Blanton hasn't got the chance to start yet, so I don't think you'd need to complain. Kirk Saarloos and Justin Duchscherer would probably got the first chances.

But we need those guys in the next couple of years when our SPs start leaving through FA for contracts the Yankees can afford.

Dotel doesn't have the closer makeup. He is an excellent setup man, though.
