1920's Batting Avg. EXPLOSION (league batting .304, NEED HELP
I am kind of new at ootp, and I need some help.
I am in a historical career league starting in 1901, i played the first 20 years w/o a problem, but starting in 1921, There was a offensive explosion! (i know it is a different ERA and i changed it at the league setup). For Example: a player with a 6 rating for hits, usually has a BA between .320-.380 in 1921 a player w/ a 7 rating for hits: .340-.410 rating of 8: .365-.430 Roger Hornsby hit .437 with 198 RBIs Ruth hit .412 65 HRs 218 RBIs Cobb hit .467 and had 332 Hits, (breaking the real life record by more than 60 hits!) I tried messing w/ the league totals, but it doesn't seem to have much effect. The league has lost most of its great pitchers, is that why everyone his hitting .320? The league BA is app. .304 and the Avg team ERA is 5.34 The best pitcher was walter johnson (w/ 10 rating for HA, 10 rating for almost every thing) he was 21-14 with a 3.21 ERA, there were only 10 SP w/ ERAs under 4.00, and there are some good SP, with unusual high ERAs Can someone please help me fix this problem? |
