The Virtual Springfield Baseball League, a highly successful and fun league, is looking to restock its ownership pool. We are about to enter our our tenth season and are just dipping our toes into the OOTP6 pool.
We took a short month-long break to move to a new host, re-design our website, and make the transition to OOTP6 and are now ready to fill gaps that had opened up over the last two seasons as well as folks who did not want to make the transition to OOTP6. A little about the league - we are a highly competitive but fun league. We started out in OOTP3 and redrafted the entire league with a new roster file when OOTP4 came out. We are still using that roster as owners have become quite attached to their teams. It has made the transition to OOTP6 quite well. We sim 4 games a day, M-F and have a goal of active owners who keep up with their teams and regularly communicate over our league list. If you are interested, come check us out at http://www.vsbl.net. Available teams include some that need a total rehaul, some that are in the process of a retread and are clearly on the upswing and even last year's championship runner up. Here is the list of teams that need owners after the off-season culling of the inactive: Anaheim Boston Dallas Hartford Montgomery Myrtle Beach San Jose New owners will be able to rename and move their team wherever they like. We are currently in the FA signing process (we do 5 rounds, skipping a few days) so new owners will immediately be able to start retoolign their squads. Again, please check us out at http://www.vsbl.net or email Dan at helias@csbl.net . (Oh, please pardon any links that may not be functioning. Like I said, we overhauled everything in the off-season and some files may be misplaced and our team logos are a bit mixed up.)

I joined the VSBL before the start of last season, and I can tell you that it was a great decision. This league was my first online league, and it has been a great experience. There is a solid core of active GMs, many of whom are extremely shrewd. This league can be quite challenging, but I have found many GMs willing to lend a helping hand at times as well. All in all, a great league and with the seven open teams there are a variety of options.
Teams like the Boston Baked Beans have a ton of young talent, and could be competitive in the near future. Anaheim has a great nucleus of starters. Teams like the San Jose Seals are more of a challenge that will require some serious rebuilding. The caliber of team you get is very much up to you. Check the league's website out to get more information on this very entertaining league. VSBL

San Jose gone, plenty of other good teams still left.
