Importing individual players?
Hey, more typical newbie questions...
I have a bunch of 2004 roster sets, and what to kind of import some players into one gigantic uberset of death. Cool, huh? Anyways, is there some utility or feature where I can pick let's say, take B.J Upton from set #2 and insert him into set #1? Thanks... |

Yes, there is a program you can use to import specific players from league to league. I can't remember the name right now, I think it may be by Cato (do a search)

I'm not sure if there is an individual player importer for v6 yet, if there is it would be in the utility suite. |

Ankit made a Player Import Editor that worked with OOTP5...don't know about OOTP6.
Beware, that when you import a player, his old stats will come with him and be posted on his html player report. His old stats will be added to his career records on the career leader board. That's why I stopped using it. If you decide to use it also note that one team is always missing from the list of teams to choose from. To workaround this, you just need to go to League Structure and swap the last team listed alphabetically in the last division or league with a team in the other division. I haven't done this lately, so might not have the exact way to do it. I'll be glad to help you with the details. Post a request or e-mail me. There may be a way to import him without his old stats, but I couldn't do it. Send Ankit an e-mail or post a personal inquiry to him on the Mods forum. He us very quick to respond and very helpful. |
