Runtime error

First of all I think this is a great game! But with that said, now for the second straight time, I have played the game for hours, had the game save my leagues, exited and this morning when I came back in to play, I get an eror message that says "Runtime Error. C:\Program Files\Outof the Park Developments\ITP\ITP.ea, abnormal program termination. The first time I got this, I had to re-install the game just to get back in and start playing again. The game starts to load and then about a quarter of the way in, it just freezes. I can't click on anything, and then the error message comes up. I like the game but can't afford to play it for literally hours at one sitting, and then have it crash like this. The funny thing is, after I play through some of the season, save the game then come back later it's OK. The two times this has happened, was when I exited the game and then shut down my computer. Turned the computer on this morning, and got this error message again. Obviously, something happens when I shut down my computer! Need some help!

How much free HD space do you have? Can you give me other system details as well?

I am also getting a runtime error. This one is when I try to advance to the next season. I get a runtime error to the itp.exe file. Then is says: "The application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way. Please contact the application support team for more information."

I'm running an AMD 1800 processor with 256MB RAM. I have several dozen GB of free HD space. This is also occuring in my OOTP game now with the same error. I've been running OOTP fine for several seasons, and only had this problem after I loaded ITP. As the commissioner of an Online league, this is a major problem for me. I'm hoping by posting in both boards, since I'm getting the error in both games, that we can figure this one out fast!

Did you move, delete, change any of the files in ITP or OOTP?

Is this an OOTP5 imported league? If so, any human teams?

Steve,

I was just playing with fictional players and have not touched any files. My computer is a Compaq Pentium 4 2.0 gha with 512MB of memory, 120gb hard drive. I know that I have plenty of space on the hard drive as I really only use this for games and I don't have many on there. Thanks!

I imported an OOTP5 League and it was an online league so all teams were human owners... Is this why I had a runtime error trying to begin the season?

Thanks for answering my silly little questions... but here a few more.

1. Why did it wait till Season 3 to have the error?

2. Is there something I can do to fix it?

3. I think the error could be caused by incorrect development routine... I have already maxed out my gap hitting at 20, so I'm thinking the game says I should improve to 21 but since my max is 20 it is shutting itself down. Any legitimacy to that point?

This league happens to be an OOTP5 league. I changed all to CPU as you said. I also get the error with creating a new league that the game generates, I think you call it standard league.

I've had an identical problem in OOTP and ITP, and with ITP I was not using an imported league either.
