Century Park - From Your Input
The Stadium attached to this post was completed based on the suggestions of forum readers in the construction update thread. Input used to finish this park included the following suggestions:
>a manual scoreboard >a "Hit it Here" sign >a 1930's style design > the name "Century Park" This is one of the more unique outfield configurations, with left center and center fields extended back a considerable distance. I toyed with the idea of running a fence across the expanse but decided to leave it alone. This park then significantly favors lefties over righties much like Yankee Stadium. Century Park is located between the edge of downtown and a large park and recreation area. Originally the outfield was open but team offices, a private club area, and radio broadcast facilities were built in the thirties. Lights were added a few years later. A "Hit It Here" target and net is mounted above the outfield fence just to the right of dead center field. The distance to the target and netting is measured at 460 feet. A local auto dealer supplies a car to any player who can knock a homer into it. I'll post more details tomorrow - just wanted to get the finished image posted for now. Fantastic, Teflon!
You've just designed the home of the Metro Leagues future expansion Market City Mammoths. Since the park's name was one of my contributions, I'll be leaving it the same. Would like to get the .bmp copy of this. Will that be possible? |

Teflon your stadiums rule man. One question though, do you think you'll ever do a set of the real MLB stadiums?

Field Dimensions for Century Park
Century Park's distinctive extension in left center field is known as the "Vast Expanse." Without a speedy outfielder in left and center, routine doubles in the gap can easily turn into triples and inside-the-park homeruns. Conversely, deep fly balls to left center and center that would be homeruns in most other parks become just long outs in Century Park.
Capacity: 44,605 Left Field Line 331 Left Field 361 Left Center 411 Center Field 452 Right Center 378 Right Field 366 Right Field Line 342 Fences: 9 feet except in left center and center - 6 feet Foul territory - large |

They just keep getting better and better.
Can this stadium be downloaded from here "as is" and work in OOTP5? Will all of your great new stadiums be added to your website? |
