Is OOTP Right for Me?

Can/will OOTP4.0 be playable without having to
deal with the financial and economic intricacies
of managing a team? My main interest is in
creating fictitious teams of past season greats
and seeing what might have happened. I've got
no interest in checking attendance records,
worrying about revenue/gate attendance etc.

yes, simply turn finances off and they will not be a factor. That is how a I ran History of Baseball Replay. If you go back a month or two their will be posts on it on the Dynasty Board.

Steve,

You will have a blast the game will do just exactly what you are wanting to do and just as TigerFan says turn the finances off in the league setup screen and you should have no problems.

If you are a baseball fan the question "is OOTP right for me?" is analogous to "is breathing something I feel like doing today?"

My HBL League(currently posted up to 1932) is run without any financials at all, as well. There are a number of postings on the Dynasty Board.
