Arizona Diamondbacks (U-25)
The Premise:
-Using Todd Freaks Newest Rosters, I did a fantasy draft -I took over the Diamondbacks. -In a 60 pick draft, I drafted 60 blue star players. ( except in the 60th round, i drafted 1 star veteran jason tyner )I'm curious to see if i will "worsen" these players by rushing them into the majors, or if some will succeed. To see if we can be a world series contender in some years? Meet the Team: ( After 2 weeks of play) 4/14 The Good: We haven't lost a game Tyner starts. The Bad: Tyner is yet to start to a game, and we are battling for last in the league with a 2-10 record. The "hitters" Catcher: Justin Huber,22, 3.5 * : .263, 2 Hrs, 7 RBI's Olin Wick, 22, 3*: 0/2 , 1 BB,1 Run First Base: Prince Fielder,20,5*: .222, 4 Hrs, 11 RBI's, 13 K's Second Base: Alfonso "the barbarian" Moreno,24,5*: .171,1 HR,1RBI Rene Wisner,23, 3*: 0/1 1 RBI? What I have learned is that pitching prospects are the easiest to screw up by rushing them. Of course that's what your going for, so it's all good.

Yep Yep, In every dynasty that I've noticed him, Sean Burnett always does good. The rest I hope don't "die" to fast

In free agent signing , I signed a 3* 24 year old Jeremy West. Finishing the Rule 5 draft, and Spring Training, our line up looked identical to last year.
These now youngsters had at least a year experience under their belt. I decided to sim a month, to see if this year had any hope. We won the first game 2-1. After a month, we were in last place... but only 3 games out! The pitching was still ugly, but the hitting as a team improved greatly. A 10-13 record would be sufficient. |

The June First Year Player draft was upon us, and I had the first pick.
The best hitter was a talent of 70 contact, 94 power RF Cefe Velazquez. The best pitcher was Anthony Gallant. In very tough competion in HS, he was 13-0 in 14 games, with a .91 era. He had 136 K's. I took Anthony Gallant. Through out the year things got worse and worse. |
