Exclamation Big Conversion Bug

And not what you'd think.

The pro service years are WAY off. We just converted our league after spring training and around half the guys who were just drafted show that they have to be on the 40 man roster (rule v elligible).

So I load up Pierre's career editor and find that they say they have anywhere from 1-6 years of pro service.

This is a big bug. I've noticed that most of them seem to come from recycled player IDs from OOTP5.

Pro service should only equal how many years removed the player is from being drafted, correct? I haven't checked all the players, only the rookies so far.

Hopefully it can be fixed in the future. For now, it's manually editing everyone who shouldn't be elligible for the rule v draft.

The player's draft year is only kept in the player notes. It is not kept as info.

Not sure what your point is.

The conversion should look at when stats started being tracked for that player and pro service equals the difference.

As it is now, it totally messes up who is elligible for the Rule V draft.

When was the league began? Since career minor league stats were never tracked in OOTP4, it's difficult for the game to have accurate pro service years for these players.

That's not the point... you seem to be missing the point.

It's not about pro service years for guys that should be Rule V elligible. It's about pro service years for guys that should NOT be Rule V draft elligible.

For example http://www.current.scleagues.net/p254.html

He was drafted in 2005 and played one year of minor league ball. His pro service shows 6 years. It should be 1 year, correct?

The league started in OOTP4 in 2002. We then converted for the 2003 season to OOTP5. 2003 - 2005 were ran in OOTP5. We are now starting 2006 with OOTP6.
