How many people are still playing OOTP6 or.....

....waiting for patch 6.02 to be released?

The depth chart issue is really annoying. I can control the depth charts for my managed team so that is not the problem. THe problem is with other teams in my league that I do not control that have "screwed" up charts.

I've even taken control of a couple of teams myself to correct the charts but they always revert back to the incorrect lineup once the computer AI manages it! With depth charts screwed up it really affects the competitive balance of the game especially in managers mode.

In the meatime, my season is on hold and my fingers are crossed in hope that patch 6.02 is released soon!

Other than that, my thanks to Markus and Steve for their responsiveness and continued good work on the game! Best sports sim out there bar none!

I'm still playing, but waiting for the patch. I just manually enter the lineups for now. I'm playing the 2004 Tigers, and I've started the season at 17-5. So you see, I have to keep playing!!!

What a silly question.

I play out all my games, so it isn't a problem.

Isn't the message board supposed to be a gathering place for addicted OOTP gamers as myself and not get ridiculed when asking a harmless question?

Sheesh, lighten up friend!

Yeah I tried to stop playing myself but I caught the quivers and shakes and could not put the game down for an extended period of time. I have done the manual thing myself!

To answer your question, I'm still playing the game constantly, have 2 historic leagues running on 2 different PCs and love any minute of it.

Personally I can live with any minor bugs for now. I'm used to buying extremely screwed up games from big companies. Try some of those and you'll appreciate OOTP more...

I agree with you that's why I gave the OOTP people their "props" for putting out an excellent game. I guess I am spoiled by the level of service that the OOTP team provides.

Believe me I have been a PC gamer for over twelve years and have the experienced the shabby treatment by some of the big game companies out there!

I'm still playing my solo league. I never worry about how the AI is running the other teams I only worry about how I run mine. Any time you change something for an AI team it's not going to stick once you return control to the AI. And who's to say the AI teams would have a better record or be more competetive with the lineups you input for it. Maybe with the dips and sabremetrics
lineups the AI is generating the team is actually better.

Of course like anything this can be improved. But until indvidual manager and gm profiles are introduced into the game (v7 I hope)
this will probably be an area that can't make everyone happy.
Perhaps as some have suggested there could be an option to toggle between a more conventional "speed at the top" lineup or an "on base pct lead off hitter" lineup.

Either way it's not enough to stop me from playing my dynasty.

Certainly not the way I want to continue playing - but for my solo fictional league - I have set all teams to human and I adjust the lineups myself.

works for now as a workaround.

There are definitely a few bugs and glitches here and there, but the "real" game has it's share of blemishes as well. Not enough to keep me from playing or watching (or both at the same time) respectively.

Good reply...MD must have gotten up on the wrong side of the bed today.

Hope the day gets better for him.

I still play...but I control all teams...I want the AI to do as little as possible...I LIKE CONTROL.

Well... according to Markus himself, H2H will be included in the first Update 2-3 weeks after release... oh wait, what's that?!? It's been a month since release and still no H2H?!?

Interesting... guess it's a good thing Markus didn't wait to release a full-featured game (as in actually releasing a game with all the announced and confirmed features).

Remember jax - you owe me your first H2H game... think we can safely schedule something for July, though given OOTP's track record, we might have to wait for v7 or 8...
