Jamaica League needs an owner in Lucea.
The Jamaica League: baseball on the Caribbean island in the 1950s.
Sixteen teams, fictional players, no finances, no interleague, no DH; talent-only ratings. We’re halfway through our second season. The Lucea Gold need an owner. My email: jberry (at) mm.st AIM: satchel ootp Jesse Berry Commissioner |

A couple of questions, if that's OK.
How do online no-financials leagues work? If you have no financials there's no worry about salary caps and such, so how do you determine contract length? Do players simply stay with the team until you trade them, release them or they retire? How do you sign free agents and how many can you sign per season? This looks like a fun league. Too bad I saw the opening too late. How many times a week do you sim? How large is the league file? (My dial-up connection is pretty bad.) Do you require AIM? You are the commish of this league, right Satch?

Thanks for your interest, Antonin.
Do players simply stay with the team until you trade them, release them or they retire? Yes, teams have the exclusive rights to their players, until the players are traded or released, or if the player retires. How do you sign free agents and how many can you sign per season? Owners can sign one free agent (by posting in the league forum)per 24 hours of real time. How many times a week do you sim? How large is the league file? (My dial-up connection is pretty bad.) Do you require AIM? We sim three times a week. The league file isn’t too big, almost always under 2mb (and I could make a smaller one available on request). We don’t require AIM; we use it sometimes for live events, but it’s not mandatory; we have a live draft every season using AIM, but owners may submit lists and instructions instead of attending. I am the Commish of the league, and I’d be happy to answer any more questions. |
