Is there anyway to play OOTp5

Yes, have a screen resolution of greater than 1024x768.

you mean so when the boss is coming down the hall you can switch quickly to something else? er, wait, you can alt-tab for that...

OOTP should add a "Hide" Button to all in-game screens. Then I could play at work...if only I could lock the registry editor...

meh- just tab out to different screens. that's been satisfactory for me.
