Banner/Logo Request for League
Looking for a banner/logo for a solo league soon (hopefully) to turn into an online league.
I'd like a banner and a "postage stamp" square to use. League Name: Western Hemisphere Baseball Concept: 36-team league consisting of some of the most history rich baseball cities in the world that don't have current MLB teams. This includes all of North, Central, and South America, plus the Carribean. Thanks for any helping hand you can lend! -E p.s. I've got a few logos that need tweaking if you're feeling especially helpful also. ![]() Namely: Guadalajara Fightin' Monks Maracaibo Centauros (Centaurs) Quito Mosquitos Sao Paulo Anacondas

Here's a little help...
I tried one out for myself, just to see what I could come up with. Would anyone be able to help me out with an equivalent 150x150 league logo (for the FA logo and various news stories). And if anyone has a better take on the banner, please show me. Attached is the original file I used for the banner, and the typeface is TypoUpright BT.

Just a friendly bump.
Maybe you should title this thread: enuttage needs a banner.

Well dammit! lol. As soon as I posted, I realized you had responded dbacks.
![]() No. Not yet. But it'll be modeled very closely after the website below: http://www.enuttage.com/tcbl/ Same banner size, same/similar placement. Similar format and layout. Might change the color scheme depending on the feel of the league and the banner. Thanks for taking a crack at this dbacks. -E

I'd also like a 150x150 to plug in for the FA logo, news releases, and a temporary place-holder until we have a league champion... Thanks again man! -E

Yeah, but by the time you get your banner, it probably will be.
![]() I'm working on it, though. Last edited by dbacks; 03-24-2004 at 06:23 PM. |

Here is one without the 'League'
If you have any suggestions to make it better, let me know. |

Well that was a quick 24-hours. lol.
![]() Beautimous! As usual, incredible work dbacks. I prefer the logo with "league" in it. My only request (if you have the time) is to try and make the globe more prominent without losing the definition of the text. And is there anyway to try a more "scripty" type? And dbacks, these are all trivial requests. I'm happy with it just how it is, but I wouldn't mind seeing if you can tinker with it. For that matter, if you want to dump the lil' globe idea and do something completely your own, I'm sure it'll be fantastic. Thanks a ton man. This is superb! -E

I can make the globe a little darker, easier to see, etc., but not too much or, like you said, the text will be impossible to read. It will still be around 75% transparent (it's 85% right now).
As for the text, the only script-type font I have is one that came with xp (matura mt script caps). I'll go ahead and change the font, but I'm not crazy about that one, so I'm not too sure how it will look on the banner. |

Try this. What I did is make the globe a little darker, and I put a soft white layer underneath the text so that you can still see the words.
