Ready By Opening Day?

Hi Folks, well, does anyone have the latest as to when OOTP6 will be released? I know it was previously advertised that it would/should/could be ready for opening day, but, thats not going to happen I see.

Also, I am working on an MLB Opening Day Roster pack with all the correct ( not the 80 percent dollar amount or whatever OOTP uses) salaries and teams, using last years Total Minors rosters. Once I am done, does anyone know how and where I post my roster pack?

OOTP6 will be released when ready. Nobody has any more insider information than you do.

when you get the roster pack down, persue the mods forum - you can post about it there, and also find one of a few sites who host those types of things, if you don't already have a website.

I don't know what I'm looking to more...the game coming out...or the game coming out to stop the echo effect on the boards these days....

What i find more annoying then people asking questions about the release date is people bitching about the people asking questions. If people have preordered then Marcus has unearned revenue, and in all reality is liable to those who have payed for his service. Honestly, i think people just want clarification if the release date will be closer to opening day or April 15th or whatever the span he said was.

Sure people could just read the board and find that OOTP devs are refusing to give out a solid release date and no one knows when the game will come out....But then these boards would be a lot less entertaining without all the bickering from newbies and vets a like.

I agree with you, I mean, anyone who has preordered OOTP 6 has in fact paid for a product they havent recieved. Thats quite remarkable in my opinion.....I mean what if, and it's a huge IF, we never see the game? It's displays a pretty large degree of confidence, in my opinion, by the fans of this game. Dont get me wrong, I am not trying to insinuate anything here, just a thought I had. Looking forward to the release thats for sure!

Well markus will give us the product thats for sure. I wouldn't worry about that. And i understand why they won't give a release date. I'm just pointing out that he is liable, and questions about the release date is something every company faces. Its not like this is an isolated event to just the OOTP boards.

Well I don't think any company could get away with charging customers and then not delivering on the product, we would probably have some legal ground to stand on there.

Not that it would ever be an issue in this case, I trust Markus to release a quality game more than any other game developer.

Imagine if he released it next week just to satisfy everyone... How many people would be complaining that they paid for a product that is not complete? This way Markus is making sure to give us a quality product.

Any may I remind everyone again there has been 0 indication that the game will not be reaedy for opening day. You never know what you'll find when you wake up one morning and come check out the site!

check ESPN.com. I know they have the salaries. I'm not sure about the years though. Atleast you can get half of it done.
