Quick question: How to keep old teams/logos, but import a completely new player base.

I've got a nice little league going right now in solo, but I'm ready to start fresh with a brand new player base and a fantasy draft to kick things off.

I know this has probably been addressed a million times, but could someone help me start a new league, with the same team set, but with a whole brand spankin' new set of players?

I'd like to know this too. Is it just a matter of copying a player file from another league?

Im pretty sure to get a new set of players, you would have to start a new fictional league from scratch. You can just copy/paste the Pictures and Logo folders to the new league, but the renaming of the teams, setting talents, etc would have to be done over again. You used to be able to just copy/paste the different .dat files from league to league with older versions of OOTP, but with OOTP5 I think it gives errors when trying to do this.

If someone knows otherwise, please let us know !

It took me awhile, but I finally figured out how to do this (if you're using a fictional player base).

Reset the league, release all players for a fantasy draft, delete all free agents (leaving no player base), then create enough players (one-by-one), to fill one round of an initial draft. Run the first round and then fill all minors with fictional players.

Presto! You've got a new league with new players (even if they are a bit skewed toward the younger side).
