Two suggestions.
They tie in together.
Suggestion one: There needs to be some sort of value, I've heard prestige thrown around, to the players.
Suggestion two: In my league, during 6 completed seasons so far, not one of the 12 ROY winners have ever finished with their original clubs.
It seems like that would cause fan disinterest.
I mean most young players period tend to be fan favorites. In OOTP there needs to be atleast some kind of hit to the fan interest rating when this occurs. It feels like even if a player wins ROY, the game still treats them as being still a prospect.
Along the same line it seems like alot of times when a club signs a "big free agent" in my league, he will get traded the same year. Again I don't think the fans would like to be seeing this become common practice.
I did lower my trading frequency down, originally was using the default. It might be my game is just in a spell where this is occuring more often then it normally would. I've only played through 6 seasons and that might not be enough time for the game to settle down its finances and farm systems. I don't know.
