JBL Needs 2 GM, starting 2010 season

The JBL is currently in search of two owners to take over the Honolulu and Phoenix franchises. Both teams are in rebuilding mode. Phoenix has a bit more in the low minors and should be competitive with a solid 3 year plan. Honolulu, on the other hand went vet crazy in the initial draft and is now suffering from a lack of long term vision. If you are a dedicated GM who would like a challenge, Honolulu is that team.

The JBL is a fictional talent only league that is currently in the offseason of it's 6th season. We sim Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday evenings. In the first six seasons there has never been a missed sim. We have a very solid core of ownership. I am involved with several of these GM's in other leagues and I am sure many would recognize them as well.

A talent only league is a bit of a challenge in its own right. You do not have the ratings to base decision from. You must rely on the stats a little more heavily to make decisions. This has been a refreshing change from the Traditional rating system I have experienced in other leagues.

I have effective immediately stepped down as commish of the JBL. The lack of integrity by the commish I took over for, who is now reassuming control of the league is more frustration that I care to deal with for something i consider entertainment.

The JBL had rules in place preventing the signing of players at positions they are not rated for (SP as MR, SS as DH). However no rule existed for the signing of 1 year contracts or switching the positions of players who ARE rated at other positions.
The prior commish questioned my integrity, so he can have his league back. Good thing I did him the favor of not letting the league fold! I should have gauged his character when he admitted he used the league password to look at ratings and FA bids. A new commish obviously was not the answer.
