Just when you thought heavyweight boxing sucked...

Mike Tyson gets ready for another comeback.

From the AP:

Mike Tyson may be getting ready to get back in the ring for the first time in more than a year.

The manager Tyson fired just a few months ago says he is exploring a possible fight for May or June for the former heavyweight champion, who is mired in debt and in bankruptcy proceedings.

Shelly Finkel said he and Tyson have reunited and that Tyson wants to fight again. Tyson hasn't fought since last February, when he stopped Clifford Etienne in 49 seconds.

Showtime network executive Jay Larkin said he is in talks with Finkel for a Tyson fight on June 5. Tyson has fought mainly on Showtime in recent years.

The June 5 date is the same one Oscar De La Hoya said he will fight on in his next bout. De La Hoya fights on HBO.

Finkel said the 37-year-old Tyson has been working out with a bodyguard, but does not have a trainer yet.

Remember when the world seemed perfect and Mike was married to Robin Givens?

The amazing thing is that people will still pay money to watch him box.

Actually I'm waiting for him to begin his next career on "Fear Factor." If the man is willing to bite off a man's ear then eat another man's children, I think he'd have no problems with a bowl full of grubworms.

Whatever happened to any of those people? Robin Givens had a better career than any of them.

With Tyson, it doesn't suck. It bites.

Question

This story belongs in this thread too.

I heard on the radio that George Foreman wants to make a one-time fight this year. He wants to climb in the ring one more time while he is 55 years old. It's been 7 years since he lost Shannon Briggs (who?).

Maybe he could fight Larry Holmes.
