The ABA Has A Couple of Openings

The ABA has several teams avaiable.

Take a look around.

If you are interested, send email to ja9019@yahoo.com with some information about yourself.

We are currently in the offseason, preparing to start our 9th season of play. The ABA is a fictional league of 24 teams that plays 80's style baseball.

I think if it were a real opening in a fictional league there'd be more interest.

All kidding aside, this is a great league with some very passionate owners. If you want to compete with some of the best around, this is your chance.

I'll voutch for the ABA. As a member for 7 seasons I don't think I ever finished above .500. But the guys are great and I had a great time.

In the interest of fair and balanced reporting here, since we heard from one of the perennial losers of the ABA, we really should also publish the testimonial of an actual successful team in the ABA as well.

Here is a tribute from Ft. Worth Roadrunners owner Scott Fite, winner of 7 straight ABA playoff spot titles:

"The ABA is a solidly run organization with some of the best GM's in the online fake baseball business. While I can not guarantee you will have the same success as I have enjoyed should you join this league, I will guarantee that you will meet stimulating and competitive fellow online league players who will keep you entertained for many seasons on end.”

Should I get out right now then, while I still have a chance?

Management accepts no responsibility for the validity of any of the statements regarding meeting stimulating online league players. We neither condone nor discourage stimulation online.

Management also would like to point out that Ft. Worth missed the playoffs this season Finally...

d00d - it's too late, you've already been sucked in and resistance is futile.

edit: hmm...guess that was my 300th post. seems kind of like a waste, but i guess i am now eligible for that mad, crazy per diem.

Cooley, not sure.
Albert (Commissioner) had a family crisis around Christmas and had to put the league on hold. I was one of the original team owners.
The league had a fantastic set of owners, one of the best I have seen for a small new league.
I hope all is OK with Albert.

Edit - Ripwalk was one of the several solid guys I was referring to in FLOG and would make an excellent addition to the ABA, IMO.

Good grief!!

I have nothing but good things to say about the ABA, though I am currently on - let's say - 'hiatus' due to time constraints.

Great guys in this league, but should you get in, be sure to cheer loudly for whomever is playing against Fort Worthless, winners of more division titles with nothing to show for it than any other squad in the league.

Hey, I take offense at that statement.

Miami has 2 more playoff appearances than Ft. Worth with nothing to show for it.

Haven't you heard? Fort Worth co-opted those playoff appearances...

Thanks Legend, I appreciate the reccomendation.

I don't know about FLOG either, we haven't heard a thing in a long while, and I hope it's not done, but the longer we go without hearing anything, the longer it seems like it may be.
