Freezing

I have had the game freeze on me several times, usually when it's simming or running a draft and my screensaver goes on or I try to minimize the window.

I waited and waited but it never came back.

I have a 1.2 Ghz processer, 256 RAM, plenty of space on my HD. I'm usually not running much in the background aside from trillian and maybe outlook express.

What about the little thing about it freezing when I minimize it while it's running a draft or simming? And don't say "don't minimize"! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

I'm really not sure, I have never minimized during a draft. I have and still continue to minimize while simming w/o any problems. I have a 1.2 gig w/ 512 meg of RAM. Have you run defrag and scan-disk recently?

I haven't ever run into the problem of the game freezing while I minimize during the simulation or roster.

Defragged last week. Hmm. I'll see if there's anything else going on when it happens.

Hi D Love - turn your screensaver off - it definately causes video problems with OOTP (I think it may be mentioned in the manual). Same deal with powersave options - don't leave the game unattended for hours with powersave functions turned on either or the game will freeze. No idea about minimizing the OOTP window though - it would depend what other apps you have on (anotherwords your reason for minimizing the game). If you multi-task with OOTP and another game that requires full screen (high heat etc.) I suspect that is most likely not gonna' work due to the same video issues. Whatever other program you are running is probably the reason why minimizing the game is not working for you, so I'd avoid multitasking those progs with ootp.
