Creating a Closer?

Has anyone been successful? I have experimented with endurance levels at character creation, number of pitches known, velocity, etc. and in five attempts have created five relievers who are perennially used in middle relief or seup roles. Does anyone have the secret to this?

i tried too. a power pitcher with low endurance, but just got in as a MR

In OOTP, AI MRs would become closers if they were the best MR on the team. Maybe that's the case here ... I know the AI would change MR and CL designations at will, as can the human.

Does it tell you you are moved to a closer or does it just put you their and you can tell by number of saves? Either way you should be able to create a closer because their are closers in the draft this issue needs to addressed in the next patch.

Ok here is what I recently tried. I copied the league over to my OOTP5 folder and opened it with that. I changed the role from MR to CL. I then copied it back to ITP. Guess what. The AI stuck me right back into MR. This player is far and away the best reliever on the team. Yet the AI keeps sticking me into #3 under Middle Relief.
