I really like the Wrigley Field one. Where did you get a pic like that?

Added Ebbets Field to The OOTP Reference Desk
![]() The pictures have come from various places... I save anything I like as I come across it - and I have years of images. Please, as you stop and look, let me know what you like and what you don't. It will help me know what to add next

These stadiums are unique and very well done, as is everything you do. I prefer Ebbets over the blueprint style.
However, I prefer a stadium design that puts me behind homeplate looking toward the outfield walls. I want the design to make me feel I am at that stadium watching a game. I want the all of the ads to be clearly visible and not vague and unreadable. I would like to see some empty seats and not capacity-filled stadiums. I like to see the shadows coming over the ballpark. I want it to look as real as possible...like a photograph if possible. Ebbets is really nice with the Gem sign in right and the stadium picture in the sky surrounded by Dodger greats above the right field fence. Very creative and interesting. Thanks for all of your efforts for the OOTPB Community. |

I agree with EC. I want to feel as if I am in the stadium. Not looking to construct it.

Well, although I too, do like the behind the plate view, I also think just about every ballpark has been represented that way at least a dozen times. Any pictures from that angle that exist have been turned into an OOTP equivalent.
What got me started on this idea was the fact that the best and most beautiful ballpark shots aren't usually from behind home plate. The bulk of the construction is, in fact, behind the plate. I also think some of the best pictures are actually overhead shots encompasing the entire park. In addition, most seats from which a game is watched are not behind home plate. This project is intended to utilize those views in an OOTP presentation. The Ebbets image and Wrigley image are my favorites... the blueprint ones were interesting, but I probably won't do any more of those. My hope is to create an "art piece" I guess, with some great shots and a lot of nostagia. Last edited by Henry; 08-28-2003 at 06:35 AM. |

I like these a lot Henry. I like the "different" views of the park. There is so many behind the plate views, sometimes I want to see another view altogether.
Another great thing you do for the OOTP community. Thanks so much!

After viewing the stadiums a second time...
Ebbets Field gave me the sense that I was almost there. Beautiful work. You and TC Dale are right. We need other views. If we always do things the way we always done them, we get very little progress and nothing new. |
