Eugene Church needs an original San Diego Padre logo.

This is logo request #2 for my new league.

It begins in 1901.

I need original San Diego Padres.

Please use Bright Orange, Black and White...brown padre symbol is fine with it.

Or select your own colors appropriate to your design.

Include city and nickname in the logo..."SD" would be fine for the name and make it large enough to be seen in the game...as you know small, fine fonts don't show up well in the game.

3 versions would be nice indicating logo evolving over the years.
prefer 1950 style...1970-1980...and then Modern...a great idea Henry used for his Oldtime League.

Do one or all...no rush.

Just make it easier to read.

size: 150x150.

Here is one try, not real happy with it, but if you have some changes that you think would help let me know.

The gold background doesn't offer enough contrast with the other colors...maybe use bright orange and black on a white background. I think it would stand out better that way.

Instead of the padre...maybe in the center of the logo, put "SDP" bold font in bright orange trimmed in black on a white background. Put several concentric circles of colors around it...use same colors for circles...maybe add in a yellow or red circle trimmed in white...see Henry's Dallas Eagles he did yesterday on my first logo request. His circle of colors looked great.

Put "SAN DIEGO" in Black curved around the outside of the circles.
Place it above "SDP".

Then put "PADRES" in Black curved around the outside of the circles. Place it below "SDP".

Then frame the whole logo in Black and Bright Orange.

Let me know if these instructions are not clear and I will try to make them more understandable.

Like the background, colors and lettering.

Thanks to all of you for excellent work.

I have enough to use one per decade for my new league. This is the first league where I will sim each game half inning by half inning for 6 innings and play out the last 3 innings, so I really get to know the players...will no longer sim weeks and months at a time.

I like the last one...the padre is very good...excellent color contrast...very good colors, too....thanks for excellent framing...all is well done...I hope my suggestions are ok...I do not want to offend a talented artist.

SDP:

I really like the original padre...that swinging padre is great...colors and contrast nice...logo is very well done.
If you can easily frame it, I would appreciate it, but it is fine the way it is.

Thanks for the extra effort, but the '48 style is not my taste.
I'm more traditonal....mascot, city name, nickname...even though my league starts in 1901...I even play 1950's style baseball in it.
Call me "Lost in the 50's"...an old Ronnie Milsap pop country hit in the 80's. (I'm an old retired DJ)...still can't stop introing and outroing songs.

Sorry...you hardly ever do even an average logo.

That is very well done...good colors...contrast...framed (you are getting very good at that)...nice textured background...I like the way you used the red on the padre...the baseball is a nice touch, too...THIS IS WAY ABOVE "NOTHING SPECIAL"

nml, SDP, dbacks: I hope I don't offend with my "pickiness"...maybe "art critiques" would be more appropriate for you very gifted artists.
