game 'pausing' in PbP mode

When I'm playing a game, the PbP seems to 'pause' when it gets to a result of a picth, play, etc.

I noticed the other message about anti-virus softward interfereing. I turned off the auto-protect, but the problem is still present.

Any suggestions would be most helpful!

Quick note: This just started happening recently. I've defragged and run scandisk.

How much RAM do you have, whatelse is running or open in the background?

As far as Ram goes, 512m (Rambus), the only other things running are Norton Internet Security and Norton Anti-virus auto protect.

What OS, have you rebooted recently?

OS is Win ME, rebooted about an hour ago, but have not tried to play since rebooting.

Your problem is winME, it is the worst OS available. I ran it for 6 months and had to reboot 8-10 times a day just to open regular programs. If I were you I'd invest in a new OS, even win98se is better.
