Can't finish save

Since installing the 5.13 patch I've been having this strange problem. Every time the game autosaves throughout it has no problems at but when I quit the game the saving... comes up and the bar goes all the way to the right but then locks up. I have to Shift Alt Delete to get out. Strangely it saves all the data fine (so I've noticed anyway).

I tried uninstall and reinstall and it still does this. I'm using the same roster I used pre patch.

My system specs are this:

2 Gig Pent 4
256 Ram
Windows XP
10.3 GB free space

So when you try to close the game and it begins to save it does this and hangs up?

I think it saves completely. But it locks up with the saving screen window still there. The progress bar on the saving screen window is all the way to the right but it just sticks there. I've been using the totalminors set for a while now.

How long have you waited? Are you running other programs at the time?

The only thing going on is my messenger which is just sitting there. I acutally walked away a couple of nights ago after quitting and it was still locked a few minutes later.

Everything was working fine until the patch. Its probably a coincidence. Oh well, I'm not losing sleep over it. Thanks for the replies.

I am having the same problem. Pretty much the same specs as his, just lower ram [128].

I've also let it sit, and it just freezes there. The only way I can close it is to end the program in the task manager. It does save the game, but it just doesn't close.

Can anyone help?

How long are you waiting? How many years have you been playing this league? How much free HD space?

I've actually left it on all nigh once, not knowing it. I clicked close, and just turned off my monitor screen and went to bed. When I woke up, it was still sitting there froze.

I've tried it in 3 different leagues. An online one I'm in, and two solor leagues that are different.

I got 24 gig of free space.

Appearently, it only happens sometimes. Lasht night I had two successful save and closings. But this morning, it did it again.

Anyone know whats up?
